Meet Our Team
Stacey Thornton, DVM – Owner
Stacey Thornton, DVM grew up on a small family ranch near Lamy, NM. She enjoyed working on the ranch and found a love for horses. In high school and college, she started working as a veterinary assistant. From there her interest in surgery and medicine took off. After graduating from New Mexico State University, she was accepted into Colorado State University veterinary school. She opened Western Trails Veterinary Hospital in Edgewood NM in 2006. While building Western Trails into a multi doctor practice, she started doing a lot of continuing education in surgeries. Although Dr. Thornton is not board certified, she does enjoy surgery and would like to focus on performing urgent surgeries.
